Restoration of front teeth shape and color in cases of pathological tooth wear

Complaints:

The patient sought to improve the aesthetics of his smile. His main concerns were a yellowish tooth shade, pronounced wear of the anterior teeth, and loss of their natural shape.

Diagnosis:

Clinical examination revealed significant wear of the anterior teeth in both the upper and lower jaws, resulting in reduced tooth length and altered anatomical shape. Darkening of the enamel and loss of the smile's natural brightness were also observed. Pathological tooth wear with pronounced aesthetic impairments was diagnosed.

Treatment:

Treatment began with professional oral hygiene. Following comprehensive diagnostics, gnathological analysis, and Digital Smile Design, prosthetic rehabilitation with ceramic veneers was performed. The restorations restored lost tooth structure, compensated for wear, corrected the color, and returned the proper anatomical shape of the anterior teeth. As a result, the yellowish tooth shade was eliminated, tooth length and proportions were restored, and the smile became younger, more harmonious, and natural.

In this case, the patient was concerned about a yellowish tooth shade, significant wear of the front teeth, and the loss of their natural shape.

Due to the reduced tooth length, the smile appeared less attractive and visually older.
