Comprehensive diastema closure and dental restoration for pathological tooth wear

Complaints:

The patient presented with a diastema between the front teeth, increased tooth wear, unsatisfactory enamel color, and a desire to align the teeth and make the smile more harmonious and brighter.

Diagnosis:

Clinical examination revealed a diastema in the anterior region, pathological wear of the hard dental tissues, occlusal discrepancies, and aesthetic defects of the dental arch. Functional disorders of the stomatognathic system requiring preliminary gnathological preparation were diagnosed.

Treatment:

The treatment was comprehensive and included professional oral hygiene, gnathological preparation, and prosthetic rehabilitation. After diagnostics, occlusal analysis, and determination of the correct mandibular position, Digital Smile Design was performed. Ceramic veneers were placed to eliminate the diastema, compensate for tooth wear, and improve dental aesthetics. As a result, the diastema was eliminated, worn tooth structures were restored, the color and shape of the teeth were improved, and a harmonious smile, stable occlusion, and natural aesthetics were achieved.
