In this clinical case, the patient presented with intermittent pain in tooth 3.6 when chewing hard food and a fractured filling.
During the examination and CBCT scan of the jaws, apical periodontitis of tooth 3.6 was diagnosed.
Root canal retreatment was performed under STA computer-assisted anesthesia using a Leica M320 operating microscope. After mechanical and chemical preparation of the root canals, they were hermetically sealed using the warm gutta-percha 3D obturation technique.
Following the endodontic stage, the tooth was restored with Estelite Asteria composite material. Six months later, after confirmation of a stable clinical and radiographic result, digital scanning was performed and a full-anatomical zirconia crown Multilayer Esthetics with individual staining was placed.
Result:
The inflammatory process was eliminated, the tooth’s function was restored, and a long-term aesthetic result was achieved.
