In this clinical case, the patient presented with discomfort and pain while chewing in the area of tooth 1.4.
After a CBCT scan of the jaws, apical periodontitis of tooth 1.4 was diagnosed.
Treatment was performed under STA computer-assisted anesthesia using a rubber dam and a Leica M320 operating microscope. Root canal retreatment, cleaning, and hermetic sealing were completed using the warm gutta-percha 3D obturation technique.
Following the endodontic stage, the tooth was restored with Estelite Asteria composite material and fitted with a full-anatomical zirconia crown fabricated using CAD/CAM technology.
Result:
The source of infection was eliminated, pain was resolved, and the tooth’s function was fully restored.
