In this clinical case, the patient presented with pain in the tooth when chewing hard food.
The examination revealed chronic apical periodontitis of tooth 1.6.
For treatment planning, professional dental cleaning and a CBCT scan were performed.
Endodontic treatment was carried out under STA computer-assisted anesthesia with rubber dam isolation. Using a Leica M320 dental microscope, root canal retreatment was performed, including mechanical and chemical canal preparation with NiC and SOCO instruments.
After irrigation, the root canals were hermetically sealed using the warm gutta-percha 3D obturation technique, and the tooth was restored with Estelite Asteria composite material.
Result:
The source of infection was eliminated, pain was resolved, and a reliable foundation for further tooth restoration was created.
